My Journey to Nationals- 4 weeks out!

WOW, I can’t believe how quickly everything is going by. I am 4 weeks out from the biggest show I have ever done! I have a lot of emotions running through my body right now.  I am excited, nervous, anxious and a bit numb about it all.  I am becoming restless and am so exhasuted at times that even I don’t know where my energy comes from to complete all the cardio and training that I do daily.  My diet is still great, this is the first prep I have ever done with basically NO cravings. Yeah of course things look delicious, but nothing really bothers me when it comes to food. However, my patience are a bit limited, haha!

I am still working full-time, I will not take time away from clients, unless I am traveling to competitions.  I am so incredibly tired at times, but my clients motivate me as much as I motivate them and I could not get through this without them.  In addition to my clients, I need to give a big shout out to my boyfriend Greg Faunce, who puts up with me daily.  We live together, work together, run OCTrainer.net together and are BOTH prepping for comps.  It works for us, but we are still human…. It is nice to have a companion on weekends, getting that feeling of wanting to go out and hang out with friends, but just the thought of actually moving my body when I can be resting is not on our list of things to do.  We don’t do much on our weekends, but we enjoy our downtime, which is very limited, due to family and work obligations.  We enjoy these activites, but it becomes difficult to attend. Not because of all the desserts and foods that surround every function we go to, or the fact that we have to plan our days around our meals, but becasue we are just exhausted!  Most people just don’t understand, nor do I expect them too, it is just nice to talk about it and get it off my chest.  Another huge shout out is to my amazing workout partner Erica Fuerst.  She is an IFBB Figure Pro, I have to give credit where credit is due and she has really helped me with my weaknesses and is a huge part of the new package I will bring to stage this time around! Thanks E!

Well, that is probably enough for now, until next time, train hard and follow your dreams, on the days you want to give up, keep pushing those are the days you will make the most progress!

Thanks for reading,

Jessica Jordan
