1-Day Out From Greater Gulf States
Thursday, June 23, 2011 at 1:47PM I arrived in New Orleans this morning. It has been a wonderful day thus far. I have had a chance to catch up on the sleep I lacked during my red eye flight here and I will be checking in with my coach Kim Oddo very shortly. This evening he is holding a seminar with the one and only Nicole Wilkins, who will also be holding a private posing seminar for all the “Oddo Angels.” I absolutely love being a part of such a wonderful group of women with such a wonderful coach! The show begins tomorrow evening and then finals will take place Saturday evening!
This prep has definitely had its ups and downs and honestly has felt like one of the more challenging preps yet. I have been challenged with many things, but I am here in my hotel room, 1 day out from the stage and let me just say, I made it! I have a couple more weeks until my next National experience, but I feel like my body is right where it needs to be. After this weekend I will be able to get the feedback I need to make any appropriate changes within the next two weeks, before Team Universe in New Jersey! I feel strong, confident, happy and ready to strap on those clear heels! ;)
I have to send out many thanks to my family, which just welcomed a new addition on Tuesday June 21, 2011. My sister had a baby boy, Jaxen! I am such a proud auntie of a beautiful 18-month-old girl, Brooklyn and now my 2-day-old nephew Jaxen! They are perfect and have added so much joy and peace to my life. (Pic Below) My parents are amazing and I can’t wait for them to experience a National level competition, they will be traveling out to Jersey in a couple weeks to support me and I couldn’t be more thrilled. I have been blessed with such an amazing group of clients, whom have all become friends; I can’t wait to make them proud! Not to mention all of my other family and friends, there are so many of you that have made such a huge impact on my life and helped me through the challenges that life has thrown in my path along the way. Thank you all for being there and helping me during this ongoing journey!
